We really had a wonderful time competing, judging, watching friends compete with their dogs, and seeing new teams play North America Diving Dogs - NADD!

Mary Young

and her team did a fantastic job with the event, with social distancing rules in place, and her volunteers were amazing and so hard working:

- her ‘Social Distancing Police (SDP)’ worked endlessly all weekend, making sure that the event stayed within the 50 person capacity throughout each day...

- the running order ladies, Colleen and Karan Revane, I call them the Vanna Whites of K9 Pool School, kept moving those red bone dog nameplates around, to indicate running order, to dog on dock, to dog on deck, to dog in the hole, and to dog that just splashed, and to their bins at the end of the day...

- Amanda Newcomb who manned the retail area for all the eager shoppers of the goodies from dog beds to dog toys to dog leashes, to handmade masks by Cathy from Penticton...

- Colleen, Karan and Amanda were also on-hand holders if you needed someone to be your second handler on the dock, as the event capacity had to be maintained, competitors could not bring extra people to hold their dogs...

- Ryan did a great job as the Air Retrieve Rig operator...

- Lorraine Jurovich worked endlessly starting from check-in and registration, to scorekeeping and preparing ribbons...

- Cathy Kenzie the oh-so-talented photographer, capturing moments that we will cherish forever from the weekend of dock diving...

- and last but not least, Mary herself, who does everything and is everywhere all day, and as soon as dogs achieve their personal bests, she is in her shop personalizing the momento to gift the owners!!!

A truly amazing time had by myself and Ed Pangilinan, and we are honoured to have been invited to be judges along with Randy Kenzie, at this event, and at the same time, to get to play with our dogs!

Until the next K9 Pool School - North America Diving Dogs - NADD Event!
